Sunday, July 2, is the date fixed for the re-opening of the Shubert Theatre, which, on and after that date, will be the home of the picture shows that are now being displayed at the Crescent Theatre, Manager Seligman will move his enterprise up the street to the house in which, early last summer, he inaugurated the first big picture enterprise on Baronne Street. The Shubert has been remodelled from pit to dome. It comes out of the wreck which surrounded it on all four sides a better and finer building than it has ever been. It weathered the conflagration with all the success that its builders predicted for it. Expert firemen and underwriters declared, after the fire, that the Shubert was, without a doubt, perfectly fire-proof from top to bottom.
